Hi,
DPM 2012 protecting SharePoint 2010 SP1 farm.
We are getting 2 alerts daily:
- Warning alert: "DPM failed to obtain catalog information as part of the backup for .... on ..... Your recovery point is valid but you cannot perform granular recoveries using this recovery point"
- Resolved warning alert: "<same text>"
In the end, we are able to navigate through the site collections, sites, lists, etc. on the recovery panel, for the sharepoint protection, so I we are, in fact, being able to perform granular recoveries.
The first alert comes at around 01:30, the second one around 07:30, the catalog task runs at 03:00 and has a variable duration between 5 and 40 minutes.
There looks to be 2 hours of difference between DPM's log clock and ours, so the alert times are "good" (its the local time when I received mail) but DPM's "03:00" are in fact "our" 01:00. That could explain that the alert is raised about 30 minutes after starting the catalog task on DPM (30 minutes sounds like a plausible timeout for whatever), but the alert is raised consistently every day, regardless of the time taken by the task to end.
And, in the end, we are getting the other alert saying that the alert is solved, some 4:30 hours after....
Any thoughts? do someone get these alerts also, and still has granular recoveries?
Regards
